Andrew Hockton wins case against the GMC in the Administrative Court: interim suspension terminated

On 6 October 2009 Mr Justice Davis,sitting in the Administrative Court, terminated an interim suspension imposed on Dr Sosanya by the Interim Orders Panel (IOP) of the GMC. Dr Sosanya had been suspended for a period of 18 months by the GMC. Acting on behalf of the doctor, Andrew Hockton (instructed by Mr Adam Smith at Eastwoods solicitors) persuaded the Court that the suspension was neither necessary nor fair. The Judge agreed that the purported reasons for the suspension were "formulaic" and, on the facts, unjustified.
