Nurse's family awarded £410,000

24/09/2009

The family of Joanne Lockham, a nurse who died during a caesarean section, has been awarded damages of £410,000 by the High Court. The family was represented by Chris Johnston.

Mrs Lockham died at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in October 2007 during the birth of her first child. The inquest into her death recorded a narrative verdict, finding four serious failings in her treatment, and that she was incorrectly ventilated.
