Jury returns narrative verdict in al-Ani inquest

Stephen Morley represented Essex Police at the inquest into the death of Mr Faisal al-Ani, who died in police custody at Southend Police Station in July 2005. The jury returned a narrative verdict which mainly supported the actions of the police, finding that the officers had used reasonable force to restrain Mr al-Ani, who was suffering from a psychotic episode.
