Tamil calls off hunger strike

Ethical news: Tamil hunger striker Parameswaram Subramaniam,called off his hunger strike outside the Houses of Parliament on 30th April. Subramaniam had signed three Advance Decisions confirming his committment to refuse food and drink unless the government acted to end the bloodshed in Sri Lanka.  Michael Mylonas advised both NHS London and Guys and St Thomas’ NHST in relation to the ethical and treatment issues arising.
