John Beggs QC secures acquittal of Chief Superintendent charged with arson

On Tuesday 1st February 2011 John Beggs QC secured the acquittal of Chief Superintendent Jim Trotman at Swindon Crown Court after a two week trial.  Mr Trotman was cleared of one count of arson, one count of perverting the course of justice and two counts of fraud.  For press coverage please see:
