After a career at the Bar spanning more than 46 years Adrian Whitfield QC is retiring from practice.
Adrian was called to the Bar in 1964 and has appeared in many of the most important cases which dominate the field of medical law. He is a former Head of Chambers, Deputy High Court Judge and Master Treasurer of Middle Temple. He is currently the Director of Advocacy at the Inn.
James Watson QC, Joint Head of Chambers, said "During his practising career Adrian's contribution to the development of the law relating to clinical negligence and medical issues has been immense and enduring, matched only by the affection and respect in which he is held by colleagues both in Chambers and the wider professional negligence Bar. His retirement is viewed with sadness by all members but we wish him well and will look forward to continuing our association."
