31/08/2010

The GMC has determined that Dr Wendy Chapman's fitness to practice is not impaired.  Dr Chapman was accused of cutting a Harlequins rugby player's lip to allow a "blood replacement" at a Heineken Cup match in 2009.  Mary O'Rourke QC represented Dr Chapman throughout her disciplinary proceedings before the European Rugby Council and the GMC.  For press coverage see http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-11142562
