Nature of Practice

Katie acts for Claimants and Respondents.

On the Claimant side, she has particular interest in representing teachers.

She is sensitive to the difficult issues they face where allegations have been made against them by children and particularly situations in which the police have become involved and although either criminal proceedings are nor brought or there is no conviction, disciplinary action is taken.  Similarly, she has advised a teacher in relation to action taken against him following the disclosure to his employer of "soft" information disclosed on a CRB check.
