Employment Jon Holl-Allen has carried out employment law work throughout his time at the Bar. Initially this was mainly in the healthcare field, but in more recent years he has appeared in the employment tribunal in a number of cases involving the police. Most of Jon’s employment law work has been on behalf of employers or police forces, but a significant minority has been on behalf of the employee. He has considerable experience of race and sex discrimination claims (in both the healthcare and police fields) and has been instructed in cases of alleged disability discrimination. Jon has advised and represented police forces in the related field of police pensions and has advised both doctors and healthcare bodies on the employment law implications of disciplinary proceedings. He is recommended in both the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, which describes him as “an extremely able advocate”.
Professional Conduct and Performance Jon has extensive experience of the General Medical Council and General Dental Council, in particular, the Professional Conduct Committee of both bodies and the Interim Orders Committee of the General Medical Council.
Judicial Review Instructed in judicial review cases in the medical and dental fields. Pensions Advice Jon advises police forces regularly in this area.
