Andrew has extensive experience in public law/human rights cases and regularly appears in the Administrative Court and Court of Protection in cases with a medical dimension. He is a leader in the field in cases involving end of life treatment decisions and is regularly instructed on behalf of patients, Trusts, the Official Solicitor and CAFCASS. Recent cases involve PVS patients, force-feeding prisoners, withdrawal of ventilation/nutrition and hydration from terminally ill children and adults, withdrawal of CPR, providing life-saving treatment for incompetent patients, confidentiality for HIV patients and the application of DOLS
