'This “impressive outfit” is made up of barristers who, between them, specialise in the full spectrum of police law...' Chambers & Partners 2008

3 Serjeants' Inn is rated as one of the best chambers for defendant police work in the UK. We act for most forces around the country. The team comprises barristers who between them specialise in all aspects of police law including discipline, civil claims such as false imprisonment, assault, malicious prosecution, misfeasance, and negligence claims, human rights, pensions and employment work, judicial review, sex offender and ASBOs, firearms appeals, Police (Property) Act work, proceeds of crime matters, general operational and other advisory work for force solicitors and senior police offices, and construction and property work. You can view an abridged version of our police brochure here or see the full version here.

The police group at 3 Serjeants' Inn emphasises the importance of working together in a mutually supportive team. Newer members are able to rely on the support and guidance of those who are more experienced. The 3 Serjeants' Inn police team has gained a reputation for robust advocacy, clear and practical written advice, strong and effective pleadings, and a comprehensive understanding of the operational environment and culture of the police service, all things in which we place great store. We welcome feedback from our instructing solicitors and police clients.
