3 Serjeants' Inn's employment team is led by Angus Moon QC. Our silks and juniors practise across all aspects of employment law. The Employment Team acts for a wide variety of clients, advising on both contentious and not contentious matters. We appear for Claimants and Respondents in the Employment Tribunal, the EAT, the County Court, the High Court and the appellate courts as well as the range of ADR forums in England and Wales and also in Northern Ireland. Discrimination
The Employment Team regularly appears in long and complex claims of discrimination, victimisation and harassment of all kinds (Sex, Race, Disability, Age, Sexual Orientation, Religion or Belief).
Termination of Employment
We act in all cases of unfair dismissal, constructive dismissal, wrongful dismissal and redundancy from individual self-selecting redundancies to large scale redundancies with collective consultations affecting hundreds of employees across a number of different sites.
Contractual Disputes and Bonus Claims
We advise and represent clients in all forms of commercial employment law including the breadth of disputes relating to contracts of employment and bonus litigation whether in the Employment Tribunal or the High Court.
Injunctions
The Employment Team has significant experience of obtaining and resisting injunctions to require compliance with contractual terms and restrictive covenants in the High Court. Our silks have been involved in a number of the leading cases up to House of Lords level on injunctive relief to enforce compliance with contractual disciplinary procedures.
Disciplinary Investigations and Hearings
3 Serjeants’ Inn has consistently been recognised as the leading professional discipline set. Skills germane to this practice area make us ideally suited to advise and appear in internal contractual disciplinary and ad hoc investigations and hearings. We have particular knowledge of NHS internal disciplinary procedures.

Equal Pay, TUPE and Pensions
We advise and appear in all cases related to Equal Pay, TUPE and pensions. We have particular expertise in the areas of public sector pensions and in particular NHS and Police Pensions.

We have experience across the range of human rights litigation and of the impact of human rights law on employment relations. We regularly advise our public sector clients on compliance with their employees’ Convention rights including broader human rights topics such as of Data Protection, Confidentiality and Employee Surveillance.
Regulated Employment
Experience in our top-ranked complimentary fields of practice has afforded us a specialist understanding of both the complex employment relationships and the commercial and policy issues in the Healthcare and Police sectors.
